Tenun is a hand-woven blanket made on traditional wooden looms from pure, untreated cotton. What makes it so special is the sophisticated 3D weaving technique, which gives the plain-coloured striped pattern a three-dimensional depth. The result is a fascinatingly light yet cosy look, which is further emphasised by the playful bobbles at the short ends of the blanket.

This blanket is more than just a home accessory – it is an invitation to create a cosy atmosphere, whether indoors or outdoors. Material: Cotton

Our blankets are made from plant fibers. They therefore wonderfully smell and feel like nature.

We use cotton from local farmers on Java for our products. The cotton fields are naturally fertilized and the cotton bolls are picked by hand. The cotton is then separated from the capsule in a ginning machine. The cotton obtained is pressed into bales, combed and hand-spun into yarn. After the yarn has been spun in this way, it is processed by hand by the craftsmen on traditional wooden looms. Cotton is characteristic for its absorbency and skin friendliness. Our cotton is not chemically processed and is therefore not suitable for the tumble dryer. The products should be ironed at low temperatures.

This blanket is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay and good working conditions. Only adult and experienced artisans work in the companies from which we purchase our goods. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are done by hand, the production process hardly generates any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and permanent personal contact with the companies.
